July 18th 2009: Broad Bean is under new ownership...

Deborah, Tim and Nick Gaudin would like to say “hello” to Broad Bean customers, past, current and new!

Deborah has 25 years experience of excellent customer service in the food industry and she will be managing Broad Bean day to day. She will be happy to discuss your requirements with you, be it a bulk order or a single item.

We plan to steadily increase our selection of locally sourced food and produce, all the while keeping a steady focus on quality and sustainability. We plan to unveil a number of new services over the next few months with a major refit to the shop in the spring of 2010.

Wholefoods, organic and special dietary foods

The store currently offers a wide range of wholefoods which include loose fruit, nuts, oats and rice, frozen organic meats, wines, beers, cheese, deli items, fish, and dairy produce. We stock a broad range of grocery items which you would not expect to find in a supermarket.

There is a good range of special dietary foods including dairy, gluten and wheat free products. Our gluten free and wheat free lines now include frozen ready meals and new stock arrives in the shop weekly.

Vitamins, essential oils and supplements

We stock a wide range of vitamins and supplements, homeopathic remedies, essential oils, and flower remedies.

Specific ranges include
A. Vogel;
Nature’s Aid, Solgar, Biohealth and Salus for vitamins and food supplements;
Nelsons and New Era homeopathic remedies;
Bach original flower remedies and Rescue Remedy;
Absolute Aroma essential oils and
Aloe Pura for internal health and wellbeing.

Ecologically minded

Brita water filter cartridges and jugs, and the Ecover range of eco friendly cleaning materials are popular items always held in stock. We also offer a refill service for your bottles when you have run out of your Ecover product.

Broad Bean can offer a special ordering facility for products not stocked, but which can be obtained through their suppliers. Discounts are offered on large orders received, and a NEW home delivery service will be launched later this year for customers with bulk orders.

The shop currently carries over 2000 lines, many of which are organic items, and throughout the year will introduce more new lines. We take pride in stocking as much local produce as possible and the shop will have a dedicated section for this later in the year.

Free homeopathic advice

Broad Bean has an experienced, friendly team of staff in store who are always on hand to offer advice on all the products that we sell. There is also a resident homeopathic expert who is in the store each Friday from 10am - 2pm for free advice.

Visitors to Ludlow are invited to come in and have a browse and experience a unique shopping experience already appreciated by our local customers!
